If it’s on the i series it’s under the network settings/IWS setting.

It can be disabled there.

You can use the Marketplace Installation Utility to un-install Marketplace. Sometimes it takes a few tries to make it go away.

I appreciate this discussion. In new printers that come to me with the latest firmware (series 8), if I remove with OpenAPI, "Markeplace Installer" is installed again at the next restart. Could this dipswitch help me?

I've had to do it up to (3) times to get Marketplace to stay away. Not sure about the DIPSW.

ssw 172 05 prepares for installation or auto installs market place when currentish fw is loaded on 8 and i series
ssw 172 01 disables this but market place is still hiding on the machine.

to get rid of it for customers that dont want it we change 172 to 01 then run the uninstaller.

i series will almost always require 2 attempts and succeeds on the second. i series also cannot be uninstalled using the utility if it has old crap fw.
8 series may require installing then uninstalling to get rid of it.

i installed it on my 4 series at home with e version up fw to play around with it - theres nothing really exciting on there yet.

if you just want to turn off the screen saver, its in system settings, auto reset settings.

if you dont change 172 to 01 and leave it on 05 it will just come back again at some stage if the machine has an internet connection.
