OT-601 installation on FS-508 finisher

Hi,
I am trying to install the additional output tray OT-601 to an FS-508 finisher.
I see other references to the insertion of a short-circuit plug to indicate the presence of the tray but I presume that that is for a different finisher, perhaps the FS518? I cannot find anything like that on this finisher.
Physical installation is trivial but I just need the machine to acknowledge it.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I downloaded an installation manual from one of the other posts here, which I see now is for C252, C300, C352.
So I guess the instructions are for FS-514 which looks to be similar but different enough for this bit. :(

If anyone has the installation manual for OT-601 onto FS-508 then I would be very appreciative. :)

The finisher is getting a bit long in the tooth now, so I understand that this kind of thing is getting harder to come by. I do have a donor finisher which is non-functional that I can use for reference but I cannot see anything on there either and it does indeed have one of these trays installed.

On what MFP type is that FS-508 attached? Never heard of it. Some Options are enabled via service mode but I'm not shure with this OT.

this went on the C253 era machines..this gave the finisher a 3rd tray to drop docs on..Km has removed all documents from the web site for this OT. Sorry can't help. E

Sorry for these "archaeological" requests. This particular machine is still performing sterling service and got the option to do some upgrades to it from a broken donor machine.

I really wish that KM (and other manufacturers) would just dump all the docs that they have onto an FTP server somewhere with a note that they will not provide assistance for out-of-service machinery. Even as a gesture of care for the environment.
