c3350i - C3320 vending question

I do not have access to this machine but a customer has asked me a question. Basically when the copier is in vendor 2 mode with scanning is set so that it is not controlled by the vendor, can scanning be accessed while the "Insert Funds" screen is up.

If someone has access to one they could check pretty quickly.
Enter service modes and hit stop 9
Under Management Function Choice, set vendor 2 and exit.
Screen will say power on vend device.
Go into admin, security, Function management settings, usage settings for each function and set data to no or off.
Exit admin mode.
Can scanning be used even though the screen says to power on vendor?

I'm pretty sure it can but the customer has asked that I confirm this. Not something I normally need to do but . . . .

A co worker said I should have mentioned that you don't need a vend station attached to test this. I didn't think I needed to but it gives me a reason to bump this. ;)

Yes, this is possible. I have a few accounts set up exactly like this. Usually you just set up one of the hard keys under the panel to go straight to Scan/Fax screen, or hit Menu then Scan/Fax.

there is another setting in Servcie mode you should be aware of..Allow setting of next **** job..If this is not on, that 250 page print job will need to be compete before any other scan jobs can even start. E
