View Full Version : PDF/A is now free on iSeries
Hi, good news for iSeries. Now the LK-102 option is free and you won't need to purchase it. In fact it is sufficient to upgrade to G00-E9.
For the 8 series instead it remains to be paid.

Good to know (which I didn't)..I would expect you will now get a message similar to the OCR LK that PDF/A data is missing..Might be wise to have this file handy. E

What you say is correct. In case of an initialization, it will be necessary to insert the PDF/A font file. It would be nice if one day this information could be downloaded independently, as almost all multifunction printers are connected to the internet.

I just tried on our C250i which at G00-E9 firmware version and it's there. No additional work just did the firmware about month ago. Anyway I couldn't find info about PDF/A freely available in firmware explanation document.

Found this out a couple of weeks ago when I updated a 360i to fix the wireless drop-off issue. Since the firmware was brand new, even SSD didn't realize what had happened.
Thanks for the info, that's great news
