I have a Konica Minolta Bizhub C284e with a internal error that occurs, usually in this case i would see a C-2557 or something appears after the reboot. This machine has no errors pop up what so ever and if I go into service mode to see error history its completely blank. Has anyone come across this problem before? Any help would be appreciated.

C2557 or something?

It would help to know what the code is. C2557 is black low toner density. =^..^=

Yes it would definitely help. But there's no code at all. That's what's got me. I've worked on hundreds of these and usually there's a code that appears or has logged in service call history but like I was saying before there's no error code other then internal error the system will reboot and that's it.

so service mode - counter - service call history (data)

is not showing anything?

No not showing anything there. That's what's making it harder.

Set off a full colour print run or test patterns in service mode, the machine will show 'internal error' & will reboot 3 times.

Keep running a print run the machine will eventually stop & show the C-2557 etc.

Maybe your client was turning the machine off/on not waiting for it to reboot & log the code in CE mode.

The machine rebooted it self 15 times. I will do 50 colour prints or 50 b&w prints either prints will get to 38 pages or 39 pages then stop will a internal error. I stood there while this happened 15 times rebooting it self in hope to see a error come up or something was logged in service mode with no luck. I have never seen this before. I'm baffled.

TNR levels should be around 6.5% one of them may stand out being too low or high.

I'll keep my eye out for it. Its just baffling on on why no error code. Thanks for the post.

Update the firmware while you’re there.

Have you tried running the machine without a network connection for a while?

If you temp disable auto internal error reboot on rank C it might display

Or print a management list. Might show up on last page of printout (I forget the name but it's different to C code log)

That might be a problem. Especially with C2557 errors you typically get to page 5 before it errors out again. No way will you get to page 13 where the errors are.

You can also turn off the resetting of internal errors, at least temporarily. =^..^=

I have seen this quite a few times. Usually after initializing all data in service mode on a machine with Bizhub Secure or Bizhub Healthcare stickers. Then it also usually tries to reboot the system immediately in under 1 minute after displaying that error message with no code.

Can you get into service mode before the machine tries to auto reboot?

If you can, then verify hdd reads installed, run format both physical and logical. Then reload latest Firmware.

I tied to get into service mode a number of time when it errors, it won't let you get in. Only after it reboots you can get in.

Did you update the firmware? I would try the latest mass production first then update to the latest available.

I can't find this code. There is a lot of departure from the previous reported code.
But I remember that C-D3xx concerned a synchronization error of the meters between the electronic boards. In series 8 after three reboots it allows you to do "Recover data".

Thanks for the update.

Again another example of updating firmware resolving the issue.
