Installed a new c250i recently and customer reports an error code c6102 relating to the scanner home position sensor. Updated fw, removed and cleaned glass, check scanner flat cable and assembly. Checked home position sensor. Still flags up intermittently. Has anyone had this on the new machines?

Issues like this I usually swap the sensor with another one in the machine & see if the fault moves.

Check for loose screw at the timing belt pulley.
Hi, there is a bulletin on this. The cause was that the scanner drive timing belt was broken.Since the attachment position of the scanner motor (M201) might be fixed at the position where the tension of the drive timing belt was applied most, the drive timing belt was damaged.

He said he has checked the belt & that the fault is intermittent so can't be a snapped belt.

The broken belt is when it is too late. But the bulletin explains that the reason for this error is a misalignment of the M201 motor at the factory and the belt is not properly tensioned. Considering that the printer is new, this is most likely the problem.

Just an update on what fixed the problem.
It turned out to be the scanner drive board.
Cheers everyone

Glad you found the fix.
What's really concerning is these type of issues with brand new machines! What a shame Kon/Min is on the down slide. First the toner shortage, then waiting for new machines to be delivered and now these crap machines! Looks like the last good Kon/Min models will be the 4 & 8 series.
