Hi

Getting a high pitched whine, its not a squeak but a whine. Almost sounds electrical and sounds like its maybe coming from the fusing area but its not the fuser as I've tried another and same result..

Anyone had this?

Are you sure the whine isn't coming from the desk next to the copier? :D:D

Does the whine happen only while paper is printing, or does it happen while idle?

So you can eliminate everything optics related..Possibly a PH motor? You know, many motors can be operated in test mode..Have you tried to eliminate the motors that are working as expected? E

check and lube your bypass tray clutch and gear (looking at the door on the insdie when its open, its on the left side of the bypass entrance). This gear specifically the one on the metal shaft, is notorious for noise. If this all checks out, I would look at my drums next, Ive had random 8 series drums make noise from the rear bushing.

Hi, this sound reminds me of a problem I had with the paper exit unit on a bizhub 458.
Here is the video of the noise (much louder in my case)

Here is the solution to my problem:

high pitch noise from fusing area on c308 series is almost always the fusing drive assembly. It can be the exit clutch or any number of the gears forgotten to be lubricated at their shafts from the factory.

(when it isnt the fusing unit or exit itself, i should have said)

had it plenty.

That's probably the right advice from EarthKmTech . In my experience - 9 times out of 10 with that noise it's usually the fuser unit or the fuser drive on this series.
