Anyone know what these firmware are?
For example in the iSeries there is G00-E9 and then there is G00-E9 MSG96, MSG97, MSG99.
I noticed that these firmware have "Customizations: NO". While the main firmware "Customizations: YES". So which of the two is better?

Not really sure what you are seeing..in the US "customization" (firmware) means that some customer esclated a problem and this change was added, but is only guaranteed to work at the site it was changed for..Kind of confusing..E

In Europe we simply update the iseries using the latest available firmware. (in the US they call this 'special firmware') to us this is a periodical update to be applied during each service visit.

Thank you! But I don't understand why do 4 firmware for G00-E9? I have "Periodic Firmware G00-E9" and then "Firmware G00-E9 MSG96", "Firmware G00-E9 MSG97" and "Firmware G00-E9 MSG99".
Are they completely identical?
If the difference is only the language, why "German, Italian and English" are in all four firmware"?
