hello,

could anyone kindly provide the latest firmware of c658?
one machine often shows c1105 on idle status, i reset the code and display again 1~2days later.
after i reset, check the operation of finisher and act normal.

C-1105 is a exit drive problem, not one that can be corrected with firmware. E

I visited the customer this day.
They said the trouble code displayed after the paper has been ejected on main tray, after reset the code the machine can be worked normally.
This issue already happened these few days.

P.S. the F/W is G00-21

C-1105 is a exit drive problem, not one that can be corrected with firmware. E

I check the motor, driving belts and claws and all seems normal, and observed the operation with opening the door of finisher.

What is the finisher model?

Lower the exit tray and remove the upper panel.
There are 2 motors with clock disks. Make sure the disks are firmly attached to the motors and that the 2 exit claws are even.

Not sure what finisher you have but recall a bulletin for FS-534 and trouble code C-1105.

As was already said, not a F/W issue.

I see in the post you linked to that the belt jumped off. I just had to fix one of these late last week. My first experience with that issue thankfully. Machine wasn't in a dirty environment, and was actually fairly low volume. I believe it had about 115K on it total, so not sure what caused it to jump.

During my initial diagnosis, it seemed like the belt was the cause but I couldn't see it, so couldn't confirm until I pulled the panel off to verify. I was actually surprised to see that there was nothing to hold the belt onto the drive gear. The motor assembly on the other side actually has a small black plastic disk that prevents the belt on that side from jumping off, not sure why they wouldn't have done the same for both.

Being as resourceful as I could be with what I had on hand, I installed a flat plastic protection disc that is used on the mag roller of BH223 style development units. They come as part of the DS Roll Kit to protect the bearings from toner and developer. It's flimsy, doesn't fit all that snugly on the gear shaft, but I'm hopeful that it will prevent the belt from jumping off again.

i used to carry a small tin of all sized plastic washers... easy to hollow out for a shaft.

I had to go back over to the same place again and that's exactly what I did, but put a metal washer on it to help keep the belt from coming off. BUT, the whole issue with the one I've been dealing with is that the tracks get so dirty that they cause the rollers to bind up and get caught on the feed side, right before the fingers come around on top. So if there is binding on the fingers movement, the belt coming off probably saves stuff from getting broken, I'm guessing.

Another possibility that I thought of after leaving the call the other day was that maybe the customer is grabbing the exiting stack of sheets before the eject system has completed its job of moving the stack to the tray. Maybe they shove in on it and it causes the fingers to bind, thereby causing the whole C1105 thing and possibly the belt coming off. No way to know for sure because nobody ever fesses up to stuff like that.

Sent from my SM-G960U using TapatalkI'm totally with you on that except I have no way to prove that's what's happening. I sometimes wish we could put little pinhole cameras in the machines to catch stuff like this but that opens up a whole can of worms related to privacy concerns.
