Hi there guys,
Now I've had a similar issue when my black developer was running out.
Am I right to suspect this coming from the Cyan developer?

Please check the magenta and cyan drums as well. red line in the corner suggests magenta drum its most likely need to change.
if this is a 4 series device(224e/364e/454e/554e) ; there is common issues with the hopper bushing and toner empty sensor causing this .

If the cyan drum is near or beyond life, replace that at the same time as the dev unit, or you may drain your new unit. Has happened to me a couple times when I was in a hurry and forgot to check the drum life... Second time was more than enough for me, now if a dev unit drains before it's time, the drum gets replaced at the same time. Haven't lost a second dev unit since.

Can happen with new drums too. Had many of these on countert above 200k total.
Always cleaned dev unit and drum unit (charging unit) soiled with cyan toner.

Vacum excess toner on dev unit especially on side of magnet roller. Rotate magnet rlller backwards to extract dust an toner from the bottom.
Vacum it from a distance. Do not vacum developer - just particles of dust and toner from surface.

Use original toner and dev unit will be like new in a 3k copies.
