This is a strange problem. Have a Konica c360 that when I make 5 copies 1 will have a 1/4 inch mark that looks like a plus sign + with a small smudge above it and below it. Replace black drum unit and fuser and it's still there. It's a black mark. Any ideas.

Every 5th/6th copy correlates to the belt. Not sure if its the same with the C360s, but on the 4/8 series a small + looking indent will occasionally form in the center during shipping by the separation claw if it gets bumped around. I'd take the belt out and inspect it for a similar indent on the same plane front/rear

For sure damage in the transfer belt caused by one of the separation claws. This happened to us twice. Once even the middle claw (old versions have only one in the middle, newer have 3 pcs) ripped completely a brand new transfer belt. After that we take out all the claws from all the machines we service.

Around here we call the smudge a butterfly.

We called it the "mustache" ... essentially the same thing. =^..^=
