Good day peeps.

This my 1st post..yaaaaayyyy

I am having trouble with my c454e.

It printed good then just one day, it started to print missing colours. Like for instance, a full colour image with green wording and border, only printed yellow border with black letters no image in the background.

Then I did a few gradations, then after that print was 76% or so fine, and 2 days after colour is gone again. SO i did another gradation, and now all my print, is like rusty brown. now colour. But if i do print bleed pages with C M Y K it prints fine.

I did replace the DEV magenta unit now as well. But problem still exist. So I took my spare printer that for parts, and Changed the TB, but image is still no colour and rusty brown.

SO any input would gladly be appreciated, as for i need to know what can be the problem, before i buy new TB etc... And money is tight, this printer is my source of income in our small town.

Here is the images...

Could not open the samples you posted. Anyway few things come to mind, are you using genuine supplies?

Have you looked at all the developer units to see if any have dumped? This can happen if drums are left at 0% life for a long time.

What life is left on your consumable?

Looks like a 2-fold problem. You have a smear line across all colors. This could be a fuser entrance debris or under the transfer belt right before it goes vertical. Maybe a mylar or a stuck label somewhere.
Thats number one.
Number two, the quality is poor and could be drums or developers.
What is the total meter and consumable count.

Problems like this don't start from one copy to the next unless something happened..Did you get a paper jam that broke something while removing it. have you stopped the job in the middle of the run to see if the PCQ shows up on drums, ITB, or the fuser is the problem, have you cleaned the PH slit glass? I think some of your issues are here. You may have to pull the PH to really remove any dropped dev.

I'm going to guess that you've got a piece of paper on top of the transfer belt or fed into the primary transfer cleaning unit.

Try these originals:

Except a piece of paper on top of the belt can't smear the print because the image is put on the bottom of the belt.

Another possibility might be a messed up mylar on one of the drums. I had a machine that had a defective mylar sticking up and touching the underneath side of the belt but only drug the image on the magenta and yellow, which narrowed down my search. Turned out to be the magenta mylar since the only two colors with drag marks were the first two in the image process. In this case, it looks to be all colors with drag marks which could indicate a defective mylar or something similar on the black drum, sticking up rubbing the bottom side of the belt or like was already mentioned, fuser entrance guide issues.
