Hello everybody A customer reports quality problems printing on black. He says that wavy print (see file)
In My opinion The Problem is the BK Development Group.

Do you have other ideas?4974049741

Just to add yet another +1 for the K dev unit. Make sure K drum isn't over life as well, replace if it is.

Like other poster mentioned replace black drum as well or you will be back there when the developer dumps again from over life drum shorting out.

A lot of posts on this forum about "4 series dumping developer

For 4-5 days the printer worked regularly.
now the same problem has been presented

Now I try to change only the drum bk? or I have to change the dev bk again together with the drum?

PS: Can it be a toner hopper problem that does not download toner inside the dev bk?

You will need to do both, including K dev unit. Replacing just the K drum won't get your developer back, which is now sitting in your waste toner box, along with the developer from the last dev unit.

Which toner are you using? sometimes bad toner also causes developer going in waste. How did you change dv only unit comes as whole... with drum.

Is the figure 20 MAIN DRIVE SECTION in parts manual ref : A0EDM20000 .

Look in the manual pag 126 5.5.73 Developing clucth K CL6 for how to remove it .

In your case you had to replace the dev bk too? In addition to the clutch

Check to see if the K developer unit is turning, if its packed full of toner clear to the top, its usually a sign its not, and that clutch mentioned is bad. If you run with the cover open, and place your fingers on the k developer, should feel some vibration if the auger is turning.

C220 has separate dev and drum.
