gents, could anyone tell me if the toner for both C6500 and CS650 engines are the same .i.e. that the bottles physically fit rather that the chemical make up. i would like to run both engines but only want to stock one set of consumables.if not then i will change the toner bank completely, any information would be greatful thankyou.

If the developer is the same, from my logic, the toner should have the same exactly the same properties. Try to modify the toner bottle or the toner hopper mechanism. In the worst case scenario, just put the toner from one bottle to another.
I know you want the answer if it's fitting or not but this is all I can help you, sorry :)

If the bottle will not fit do NOT force/modify it it.

Depending on the Machine KM does upgrade their tomer with model upgrades.
The 6501 uses new toner.

Seeing as the toner is such an IMPORTANT component of the machine i would not mess with it. You may not get the desired results.

KVN, if the C6501 is using new toner, how come it is using the same developer as 6500?!

Toner (OEM)is the same and it fits but trie to get it out CMY (K no problem) you have to cut in the hopper unit a small rib take a torch and you see it

I work for Océ and will dispense my experience here:

6500 / CS650 toner is the same, but "our" bottles are different.

6501 / CS665 (?) bottles fit, but the end cap is different. We have used KoMi toner in CS665 by simply transplanting the end caps. Don't pour the toner over.

This may also be the case with 6500/650, but I haven't tried it. No worries on the chemical make-up.

They have only increased the capacity of the toner cartridge.

Well, yes.

Not to be a party-pooper, but I don't know that we should share such information here. Could get into the "wrong" hands.

I'm getting scared, you're servicing a C6500 and you don't know how to enter in the service mode.
I am wondering what you'll do in the service mode since you didn't know even how to enter in this mode...

650 Toner bottles don't align in 665 toner housing slots. Clipped off tabs on front of toner bottle from cs650 and ran in cs665 no problem.
