I should've started a new post.....
Just for an exprt advise on D011...got this D011 call from customer on C368. The fault was intermitent and random. I was in field so vsited the customer and turned off hdd. Worked fine since last week. Customer complained about scanning capcity. So should go for HDD replacement or should I try FW first. I think HDD was going down...

An update...
Swapped the HDD with a 320GB, original was 250GB... The macine constantly gave d010 hdd format error but was not allowing to format as it keep on rebooting and not allowig to enter service mode... in the end I put the original HDD back in installed SATA FW, upgraded FW from G00-84 to G00-G3. Let's see what happens now...

For future reference you can usually bypass those c-code reboots by entering SM via the trouble reset screen. They should also only reboot 3 (or 5, but I recall 3) times before it'll stop

Hmmmmmm...... Quite interesting info.... I couldn't recall how many times it rebooted may be 3 or 4 times before I changed startegy.... It did gave an HDD password reset once initially but rebooted ... No call from customer so far so it seems FW update did the trick....

3 reboots, then will display code it was trying to fix. trouble reset may mode reboot also. i just wait it out then go to service mode. you would have to do a physical then logical format on a new drive .,the 8series acts funny while formatting hdds. logical can take up to 3 retries before it takes.
