Is anyone having new issues with scan to email with office 365? I have multiple machines presenting on and off again authenication / server connection errors that have been setup the same way forever. This only started a week or 2 ago and its mostly across samsung newer models (4580 , 5370 etc) and most recently konica bh658e.

Server: smtp.office365.com
port 587
TLS

and auth creds.

I havent messed with any certificate settings or anything on any of the devices, should I now as i have found a document on konica's website about assigning a new self signed cert and such?

Any input is appreciated.

Kind regards.

A.

Thanks for that! But why now all of a sudden I thought that change occurred last year, has Microsoft finally switched to TLS 1.2 for smtp?

No clue. Might want to post over in that thread. I just came across that thread a couple days ago and found out about it since we haven't had the issue yet.

Due to complaints from major corporations when they announced their intentions, Microsoft postponed full implementation until January next year.

One of my biggest offenders is the time on the MFP..If it's off it will not send..I always recommend a NTS so if it fails you get a message and can correct it. E

Yeah, we have been having to migrate a lot of our customers, with older machines, off of O365. According to what our IT guy told me, it seems that some of the O365 servers have already been migrated, while some have not. It's been hit and miss with the customers scanning to email. He was saying that it depends on which server in the rotation the copier gets connected to when trying to send the email.

Agree on time server. Setting NTP to DC or local NTP server.
