I changed type model according SM - no change.
Why did you change it? What is the first 4 of the serial#‽

Aa2j is 10 and 1
Aa2k is 10 and 2
Aa2m is 10 and D

Aa2j is 10 and 1
Aa2k is 10 and 2
Aa2m is 10 and D

The first 4 digit are: AA2M so I writed 10 and D but no effect.

According to SM I made first 3 points of procedure.

what hardware was just replaced? (this code happens when you try and use used parts from a different copier without resetting them first.)

Nothing was replaced. The machine just restart itself and error c-c164 appeared.

You may need to run the board reset file, set machine type correctly, and then do firmware.

I strongly suspect some sort of hardware damage here though.

I will reset machine soon.
I let you know after that.

you can try but it may have been corrupted. just like the 8 series give it time to work once you turn it back on. see if it will give recover data

Hi, i have C250Iwith boot hang on 25%. Tried the test firmware, normal firmware (different versions that i had) and no reaction (the USB was good, worked on other machines).

I did a reball on CPU board and it started reacting on the firmware, did the etst (all OK, CPU, SSD OK), so i did the firmware. It started booting up but gives C-C164 error (machine code was set to 10 D according to S/N and info You supplied) still a no go.

Can You supply a reset tool and proper firmware? Would be grateful.

Diagnostic tool should piont you to the faulty part (CPU board or SSD board). Replace it and update FW (select correct machine model).
In my case it was a CPU board.

diagnostic tool marks everything as OK the code say's the cpu has the wrong firmware. there is not a way to clear the cpu board as far as i know. you will probably have to replace it.

can you boot into trouble reset, access service mode and see if full diagnostics will work?
verify the machine and type are correct booting from a firmware stick if you havent already.

I am experiencing an error with my bizhub c250i. The error code is c-c164, and after the error is displayed, the machine reboots. I have accessed Tech Mode, updated the firmware to the latest version, but the error persists.tristan tate (https://thetristantate.com/) I also tried changing the type model according to the service manual, but it did not make any difference. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any information about this error on infohub (Europe).

The bots are getting smarter I think they're using chat gpt and integrated their links in real questions. How do you imagine new registered user to make this mistake incidentally :)

using using the "posts awaiting moderation" feature would be impossible in a forum this popular.
im trying to remember if there is a feature in vBulletin that wont let you post in any forum until they do a welcome new user post in a designated forum.

Yes and being polite is good for most of the time. I'm happy camper too... well 😊 most of the time.
Being a tech is great job, nobody can turn my screwdriver, period. It makes me feel good.
