working on a Konica C450i with DF713.. paper passes .. but consistently Z folding the originals.. paper crunching sounds..until it jams.. mostly J66-14.. or 66-05...

Feed tires good..blew out all dusty sensors..cleaned out all staples and paper clips..all mylars OK..spun the DF motors in Load Check.. all seem smooth..

its like its over-driving .. or getting hung up/slowed down.. causing accordian jam of originals.
took rear cover off..dont see any one-ways in the DF drive section

I read about cleaning PS4....In the service manual ..PS4 is a Solid state Switch.. not a Photo-Interrupter.. how/what switches a solid state switch?

can not find any bulletins on DF Z-folding on the Doc Feeders on Konica SSD site

i gave up.. DF still jamming..

my guess for solid state switch is if there is a certain voltage supplied to the solid state switch, then the switch will change condition. like a electric relay.

for ex: at normal condition/ no voltage is supplied, the electric relay is NO (normally open). When a voltage is supplied, the electric relay change to Close position.

hope this help

I've had 2 recurring issues on these RADFs

1st check that p/no A782711901 is in place, the spring on one side pops off and that "lever" then sits flat

2nd A782890111 which sits underneath the feed tray, one side or the other pops out...absolutely no idea how, and this has caused misfeeding...I've even had originals shoot out of the RADF when it isn't in place properly

did you try manually pushing a heavy stock original through the path?

Fixed.. (it took another techs eyeballs and superbright LED) Amazingly...a paperclip worked its way past the rear cover , into the rear drive section.. and got caught and stretched around an intermediate exit drive shaft slowing it down enough to cause accordion jams https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/td0/1/16/1f602.png
