    C250/252/253 b/w printing

    Hi guys,

Is there any way to force the machine to print in b/w other than changing the driver setting to greyscale printing? The copying is not a problem, is already set to default at b/w mode.
I have a customer that want to print by default in b/w mode and only if necessary to switch to color mode. The problem is that he don't want the end user to be able to change the printing modes. But if he set the driver to print in b/w mode and lock it, the end user won't be able to change the duplexing option and so on.
So, is there any setting on the machine to make the default printing mode in B/W ?

    Thanks.

The C250 and C252 have a black and white only print driver, the C250 is a phase 2 driver but should generally work. There isn't one for the C253, or at least not one that I could find.

    Cheers.

Can you give me a link? I found the docs about the mono driver (I never knew that exists until now) but I am unable to find a download link.

      Thanks a lot.

You will just need to fill in the details and they should be listed.

Could you not set the machine to require access code for color only? And allow public user's to copy and print in BW only.

I would set the account verification or account track up, and set the people up to only print b/w as well. Is a very affective and easy way to do it.
