Hello, everyone,

I have problems with a bizhub C3351... I can no longer install the firmware.

The machine was flattened with Clear All Data and the Reset Tool because it kept producing strange data before and blocked the print queue.

If I now try to flash the firmware, the MFP board runs at 100%, scanner/printer stops at 10% and then displays NG.

But I can start up the machine and print normally...

What confuses me is that everything still works - as far as I've tested - when I boot up the machine...

Check printer and scanner serial numbers and also machine type. As per another experienced member here(Synthohol). Try to do only troubled part of firmware.

Thank you, I'll check that out tomorrow. The machine type should match.

It's a C3351 and the type is A 2

So you mean I should only activate printer/scanner? Disable MFP?

Yes try to do only printer/scanner firmware.

on the old 223 series the scanner FW used to fail all the time. they released scanner only FW later but yes, try just scanner and turn off everything else.
also make sure the scanner serial# is listed, that the machine and type are correct as well.

Won't hurt to prepare another stick from scratch and/or cross-check yours with another C3x51.

Hello and thank you for your many tips.
Unfortunately I still have the same problem.

The serial number was entered but wrong, I have now corrected it
Firmware update without MFP board.
Machine Type is corecct - A 2
I also tried different USB sticks. also different old firmwares

Does anyone else have an idea?

Nothing besides heavy "trial and error" - like flashing/downgrading a really ancient firmware or reset the machine via SP / memory clear.

I'd probably just leave it (if it works) ;)

Hey thanks

my jump drives couldn't be formatted, so I did everything it said. It worked, but the firmware just won't install...

If no one has any more tips, I'll just leave it as it is and configure and test the machine as far as it goes. Hope everything works then.
