Hi, on a C454E the customer has played with it a bit and now on each print the machine prints a report and this report prints it from the bypass. Do you know how I can solve it? Good job everyone.

Do Clear all data in service mode if you are tech.

Why would he want to do an 'all clear' just because his client turned on the banner page option!?

not to mention.how does enabling banner page generate reports? My guess is they turned on fax reports..either for tx results or fax forwarding is failing..E

That is exactly what a banner page is, it's a report. From the users guide:

User Settings -> Printer Settings -> Basic Settings -> Banner Sheet Setting

Banner Sheet Setting

To display: >>View

Select whether to print the banner page (cover page) showing the sender or title of the print data.
[OFF] is specified by default.

Sorry..When I read banner I jumped to banner prints (very long from bypass tray)..The OP said report was being printed after each job...Would have been nice to have said "each job prints the user name after the file is printed..To me, reports are not banner pages. Tomato Tomato..E

Yeah, I know what you mean. I only know about the "banner" sheet because we had an off-lease machine we purchased that was doing that exact thing. Took a long time to figure out what was going on and how to stop it. The naming doesn't seem right for what it is, it's more of a cover page than anything as it prints out as the first sheet of every job.

They are called separator pages..They can be turned on at either machine or driver level..I have never heard them called banner pages..E
