Hello,

I'd like to share about one case.
I have 3 machines, two i series and one 8 series, sometimes fusing process on paper failure, half side of A4 toner can be wipe away.
checked rollers and bearings etc. are normal, replaced fusing unit and solved it.
installed " defective " fusing unit to another machine, work well without any problem.

Do everybody have this experience too?

The only times i got this is if one of the two pressure springs was not hooked in proper.
Need to take off one of the side covers off at one point to get this to happen.

The pressure sensor is on the opposite side of the gear drive so both sided will have pressure if the springs are hooked in else C-3101 will occur.

I just had something like this on a C368 and was caused by aftermarket toner.

They all are using genuine toner, and no trouble codes displayed during operation.
The strange is, another machine don't happen this with that fusing unit.

Induction heater or lamp type fusers?
Cross feed or feed direction?

Haven't we all fixed something just by taking broken stuff in our car and drive around a little? :D:p

3 units equipped with lamp type heating, both A4 cross feed and A3.
