Hello everyone,

I got a Problem with 7040 Print Server or maybe the Printer driver installation on the Computer (winXP)

The Comp was in service to change broken Graphicadaptor, when returned Printing on the Konica was not longer possible. (To be clear, it worked before)

From this machine I can connect to the Web interface of the KM, indicating Network is ok.
From other Computers everything works. (printing; scanning works too but nobody use it)

Tried to uninstall and reinstall driver, no effect.
even when selecting new network printer with search the printer. \\KONICA\Print is found and the (NT-)Driver is installed, but when doing the test page a could not Print error pops up on the screen.
(Windows-Language is German, therefore I have no english text from this error message)

Tried to compare with working machine and see no difference.
Maybe I'm blind.

Any ideas?

Kyocera? Konica you mean...

Proper printer installation in computer:

Start - Settings - Printer and faxes
Add a printer - Next - Local Printer - Next - Create new Port - Standard TCP/IP port - Next - Enter IP - Next - then:
a) if printer board is Konica Minolta embededd choose STANDARD - generic network card
b) if printer board is Fiery choose CUSTOM - settings - Protocol set LPR - queue name -set PRINT - check LPR byte counting enabled
then in "Install Printer Software" window press HAVE DISK - browse - go to where the driver files are located, find "oemsetup.inf" then OPEN - OK
select your printer-Next-Enter printer name-Next-Next-Finish and printer should be installed.

I can't help you with the German translation... Hope this helps.

Have you already played with settings of ports in printer driver ?

I mean, try to print through LPR port or through RAW.

If you set up RAW port you have to be sure you have the same number of ports in printer driver and the same on the machine. There was some confusing stuff. When you print out test page there can be different number of RAW port. Check it on the machine or in the web page of network card.

@serginho_vl:
Of course it is Konica, corrected it

It is Fiery and I will try the inst using the IP these days
(alhough the Adress on the other (working) machines is \\KONICA\Print )
btw wich Portnumber should I enter with IP?

@kiwitechnician
On working machines in the Print-Processor-Page of settings is RAW selected, havend seen option to specify number of Raw-Ports, will check this again.

The weird thing to mee ist that it stopped working:
The only change was the new Grapics Adaptor on the Computer

I am still out of question :-)
What way did you use to install the printer the same what described serginho_vl (http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/members/serginho_vl.html) ?? or anything different ?

If you want to check settings, go to right click on printer-properties-ports-configure port.
Then you see RAW or LPR, maybe best is to set up LPR, it solves many issues.

I'm still on the same Problem.
Still no solution.

Tried to enable a share on the Computer wich can print and use this on the stubborn Machine for printing. surprise, surprise just the same Error showed up.

Looks like something with driver installation on this machine has gone very wrong.

Is there an tool for total removement of the fiery driver somewhere or should I try to find the pieces by hand?

btw. the driver was downloaded from the internal server of the 7033 is there a newer one somewhere (maybe included in a newer firmware?)

Any help ist greatly appreciated. (http://www.dict.cc/englisch-deutsch/appreciated.html)

It sounds like your Spooler is not running . Go to services and start the print spooler.
