Hello,

I ordered TNP80 toner ( for C3320i ) and waiting for 3 months, customer need a new toner but our warehouse just have TNP81 ( for C3300i ).
Can I cut off slots and install it for emergency? Machine would recognize that chip?

I dont see why it should not work, worst case you need to replace the chip and tell the machine to ignore low toner warnings.
Anyways, you're best of to try it and see! (https://tryitands.ee)

Indeed + other dealers who faced the same probs told me it's possible, haven't tried it myself though

I have done that on 2 machines so far. A colleague told me had to swap the toner itself between both bottles because they where shaped to differently and basically moved the toner dust in the old bottle and then did reset the chip. Worked fine but took him 3h as he reported. All that just for 10k prints.
