Hi All,

I'm having a problem with a C450 with colour registration
the machine has 400k on it.

On A3 the final quarter of the copy only, the colour registration of out by 1-2mm, this is on copy and print mode and intermittant.

I have cleaned the LEDs and the sensors under the plate.
re-initisalized and re-set machine and done the gradation adjust.

the transfer belt has been refired as has the transfer roller,
I have on order new ones which should arrive next week,
However if this should not cure the problem any suggestions?

This only happens on A3

What firmware version? There was a problem with this in the early versions.

I've not been able to reproduce this fault myself,
however some on the copies shown to me have been single prints,

make single copies and then make a run of for example.
Check if the single is OK and from the run from the second print color shift

Also is this on heavy stock paper ?? There is special firmware for customers who are printing on heavy stock!!

try turning down the fuser speed for the type of stock, if the fuser speed is too high it pulls on the transfer belt and screws up the registration on the next copy

You may want to replace the FUSING PAPER LOOP SENSOR (PC4) and if that doesn't help I have seen fusing units cause this problem. The problem seems to be due to incorrect fuser speed.

Thanks for all your suggestions, The fuser unit has been replaced about 70k back and this fault only began to appear after replacement. So the fuser speed could be a good place to start, The customer only uses 100gsm superwhite paper which is really great quality paper. I'll get back with results after dropping the fuser speed and replacing the transfer belt and roller
Many Thanks
