I have a C1070 that jams intermittently (1 to 20 prints) duplex 8 1/2 x 11 LEF only. All other media runs, i.e. 11x17, 8 /15 x 14, 8 1/2 x 11 SEF. The code is J-3101. I have installed the latest firmware, checked the paper path. I have a new registration assembly ordered just in case. Any help is appreciated!

I would look at the reverse section paper detect actuator. The paper wears down the end of it.

You may have paper scraps in the registration inlet, that are difficult to remove:

Misfeeds duplex J3209, J3101, J3120. Jam clears but returns. Paper jam is difficult to recover from the lower registration inlet. Insert a sheet of heavy mylar at the lower registration path to press the paper jam back down to the ADU pre-registration roller. Remove the paper scraps from the openings around the ADU pre-registration roller, viewable from the underside of the imaging drawer.
