C-659, pulling developer after new drum...

Several of these machines have puked developer out of the unit after having new drums installed. Drums were installed correctly, but developer puked out (mostly from the rear) right after installation. Does anyone know why this happens? Because its catastrophic trying to clean it up, when you have limited access into that cavity.

In any event, has anyone ever bought aftermarket developer to refill these things? I've done the developer refills on the C-364 series with good success, but don't know about these.

    Any help appreciated!

This is rebuild color IU or brand new K drum unit?

Nope, brand new OEM, TSB. Both times that it happened. I've heard from another KM tech that this DOES happen, but he was not able to tell me why.
