I have a machine giving a 2213 code which is for the cyan drum. The blade does not flip and it can be reset. It is most noticable when running 12x18 heavy stock duplex. I have changed the drum drive motor and the printer control bd. I'm going to change the whole drum drive unit for the cyan drum next. Has anybody had this problem before?:(

I suggest you do the (t/f) belt line speed before you start. If the problem persists swap the yellow drum shaft assy. I have had this but it was quite sporatic and ended up being the printer control board (upper right back of the machine)

Check your firmware version as well. There was a special release, 30-GCA, that allows you to change several dipswitches to alter the drum speed.

CAUSE: Improper charge corona installation is causing the developing unit to purge the developer and collect it in the toner collection bottle.
SOLUTION: Properly reinstall the charge corona. If the developing unit is not fully purged, empty it and recharge the unit. Inspect the drum for the affected
color and the transfer belt for damage. Replace the drum (Item #960897) or transfer belt (p/n 65AA26420) if they were damaged by the developer. Perform
the required adjustments after changing developer.

For the c6500:

The C-2211 is usually caused by the yellow blade flipping.
Install the new DU-102B which is supposed to correct this issue. If the problem is not the blade flipping, then it is possibly a drum speed error. If that is the case then check out this bulletin:

2. Where changed
This firmware is released for the following purpose.
a. Newly added function/change of specifications

1) A new dipswitch has been added to prevent the soilage of the Side2 due to the insufficient cleaning of the
adjustment patch.
DipSW 20-7:
0 = Usual cleaning
1 = Cleaning more times
2) A new dipswitch has been added to prevent the frequent C-22XX (drum drive error).
DipSW 21-6, 21-7:
0, 0 = Default
1, 0 = 0.1% up
0, 1 = 0.2% up (recommended)
1, 1 = 0.3% up
b. Correction of malfunctions

3. Restrictions
1) This firmware is for the new type memory control board (A03UH04013). If old type board is installed, replace to
the new type before installing this firmware.
2) If the dipswitch 20-7 (to prevent the soilage of the Side2 due to the insufficient cleaning of the adjustment patch)
is set to 1, the duration of adjustment becomes longer. (Usual cleaning= 3 sec, Cleaning more times = 6. sec) and
productivity decreases.
3) Countermeasure against drum drive error (fine adjustment of drum speed): To enable the effect of the dipswitch
21-6, 7, the belt line speed adjustment value should be within the range -5 to -20. Please check the value. If the
set value is out of the range, the effect of special ROM cannot be achieved and C-22XX may occur.

a. How to update the firmware
1) ISWTrns version that supports related unit of bizhub PRO C6500 is Ver. 3.65 and later. .
When performing ISW to rewrite C6500 engine programs, select the model “C6500”.
Please refer to the Service Manual for the detailed procedure.
2) When you use Service Port to update the program, copy the whole folder of the firmware, which is shown as
“PRO_C6500”, onto USB memory stick. Please refer to the service manual for the update procedure.
b. How to check version
1) You can check the ROM version in Service mode => 08Firmware Version => 01ROM version.
Please refer to the Service Manual for the detailed procedure.
