Easiest way to solve this is to change IP address of the machine.
If a print job is sent via WPDS then you'll have to find the "guilty one" with wireshark.
Someone is sending print jobs with non KM driver.
Before update machine was rejecting non-understandable print job.
Now it is trying to print, and since it isn't understandable, you get what you see.

Good luck!

I think you can disable WSD function but yeah, it's neceassary to check all computers for generic drivers and bad port configs.
I don't think it prints this "by itself". If the customer is shure you can ask them to unhook the LAN cable for a day and see what happens (or not^^).

hey, how about the fact that the copier is using a PUBLIC IP!!
how f-ing stupid!!!
holy crap man, delete the photo. and get them to use NAT!!
i bet the copier is receiving packets over the network from somewhere and it prints ASCI because its OPEN to the WORLD!!

i have. twice.
both times i printed a document several times stating their network is not secure and that this was printed from 50 miles away.
they were flabbergasted.
time to reevaluate their IT support huh?

Since I'm coming in late here, I can only assume the "attached images" have been removed from the post as I see nothing attached at all...

yes, in the ASCI code was the class A public IP which i thought was strange given the scan to FTP and SMB were to 192.x.x.x addresses so the printer is public but the rest of the network is using class C IPs.

Here's the really unbelievable part..Since he posted it, I pulled it up and even direct printed a page that said "copytech is right, this is really bad". or something like that..he removed the posts, but the machine is still wide open. E

maybe they are forwarding port 9100 to it so people can print remotely without having to connect to the office network?
i enjoy a game of copier detective.
