    Olivetti MF 304/ Bizhub C308 Jam 32-01

    Hi All,

First off I am NOT trained on KM models. Ricoh and Kyocera yes. I have the manuals for the KM C308 and have read through the Jam codes and know that the Jam is at a misfeed at exit section.

Question is there a simple solution to fix this before I go out to the site? Any hints and suggestions on actions to be taken or parts as spares would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Re: Olivetti MF 304/ Bizhub C308 Jam 32-01

        Hi All,

Went out to the site and they explained that it was randomly happening. I did 3 duplex copies and it jammed outputting the first side of the duplex page.. Open up and found that the paper was stopped before the transfer belt but the ADU was empty. Checked the sensor outputs for PS40 and PS41 and they worked ok.
I cleaned all the paper paths, cleaned all the rollers with Platencleen. closed it up add tried again X3 times. Worked OK. Checked the rollers again and noticed that the ADU had unlatched when I opened the cover. I secured it but found that when I went to close the side cover it had popped open again. Seems like the spring tension on the latch was week. Could that be the problem as there was not enough pressure for the feed rollers to work in the ADU? I know there is pressure from the transfer roller assembly pushing back against the ADU but is that enough?

We will have to see if the cleaning made a difference, if not I will get the parts to repair the ADU.

        More to come.....

          Hi All,

Well the 32-01 Jam has continued.

Was out to the site this morning and the only thing I found is that if you press the right hand door in at the top the jam doesn't happen.
I checked the latch and found where the upper latch engages is a plastic tab. Not very strong. When the door is closed the top forward corner of the right hand side protrudes out some.

Has there been a retrofit for the right side door?

The 32-01 is a problem with the SD3 solenoid, it does not work and the paper comes out with only one printed side.

Thank You Avecostat, That is the exact symptom it is doing. I will order the SD3 solenoid and replace it.

              Your help is much appreciated.

                Hi All,

Installed the SD3 solenoid and have not had a reoccurrence of the 32-01 Jam.

Thanks all who assisted me and especially avecosat.
