We have quite a few C35/P spare parts canibalised from old discarded machines, retired from clients and/or machines used as rental printers. As the set of C35 for rent diminishes, the C3350 set is growing.

Yesterday I'd to fit a "fuser entry guide" from a C35 fuser as replacement for a broken C3350 one on an emergency and it fitted like a glove. You know, there is no part list for something "smaller" than the unit itself. Looking "from outside", both fuser looks like identical except for two black plastic bulges on the rear of the fuser. Metal bulges have the same clearance beetween them on C35 and C3350, but plastic ones differ making imposible to fit a fuser in the incorrect machine model.

At this moment I have not C3350 fuser discarded for test it. I think, maybe the inferior plastic cases can we swapped to use those fuser units in the other machines. Have someone made this test? I'm right?

Thanks in advance. If no one have the answer I'll be back after I've done the test myself. :)

I finally could give it a try, and found that there were internal differences beetween both fusers, but could cannibalize both C35 fuser rollers and slap into C3350 fusers. It works like a charm.

good job but I'm happy I don't have those models in the field

During COVID, I was unable to find C-3110 Fusers, and was forced to use the C-25 units. All I did was break them apart and install the rollers/frame into the C-3110 case and we were good to go. They were un-swappable otherwise as the connector that mates with the frame was wired differently and it would error out. Of course, that was presuming that the plastic frame was in good shape and the rollers were the only things worn out. OC
