I'm having problems with extreme background in all prints, I've already changed the drum, developing box and image belt, without success.

When I add automatic toner in black, it raises the TCR to 6.5 but then drops to 0.30.

Have seen it before with compatible toners, are you using them?

If so take the toners out, run halftones until the hopper is empty, then put OEM toner in and run 50 of each CMYK halftone to flush the dev unit through with fresh toner and see if it clears up.

for the low tcr you will need to likely change the dev unit.

Are you using new genuine drums & developer units? And like other poster said aftermarket toner can cause this. Keep in mind any over life consumable can cause developer loss in any other color.

We use toner from Minolta C6000 c7000 OK?

The ingredients between the 2 are different. For starters, the C6000/C7000 toner does not contain the necessary developer mixed with it that the 4-series machines need to keep the development unit properly replenished. There is also a mismatch in the amount of Styrene acrylic resin, which I'm sure isn't helping your situation either.

Think you answered your own question. There is no longer a Kon/Min toner shortage so no need to improvise using toners from other models. Even aftermarket toner for correct model gives you a better chance of good print quality then toner designed for a different model.
