I have a machine with an FS-533 internal finisher that has managed to knock the stack actuator loose.

Unfortunately, I can't work out how to get at this. I've managed to get as close as removing the bracket with the surface detection solenoid, but this actuator is much further inside, behind the alignment motors and gears (the motors are removable, in place, but not the gears and brackets). Has anyone ever had to remove the alignment plate entirely? I can only see the two screws on either side, but that doesn't free it up.

It's been a long time since I've been into the FS533, but I seem to recall entering through the bottom for that flag. I've had these stripped to the frames before. There were many updates. =^..^=

it can be done with forceps and spring hook tool.
wrapping the spring is the hard part.

How? The mounting points aren't even visible.
