Can anyone tell me if its possible to fit a second nic card to this machine as my customer would like to use the machine with two sepatate networks,

Simply No. You need external solution.

No it's not possible, one think you can do is install the USB option board and connect this too a usb network print server. This is how we do it.
Whe use the one's from Axis and have no problems
