My customer scans to email and it goes through.... then at random times my customer scans to emails and he gets this no pdf just an attachement full of this jargon and it says 1/2 scans when its just one scanned page.... please take a look and let me know what you guys think:

go into pagescope admin side, then network, email setting smtp and turn off binary devision. That will fix it. Binary devision is used so you can send a larger file than email would normally support but you have to splice them back together I think with a zip program( haven't used it in a while)

Is your hard drive turned off in the copier? If you still have a problem the email server may be limiting the files size that can be attached. I personally hate scan to email and try to get custumers to use box utility, far better, less problems(don't even get me going about scan to smb)

btw the reason that some scans work is you set a boundry memory size to when binary devision is turned on ( I think it defaults to 1 meg) if the scan is less than that it will work but over that and you will get the junk

My customer has 2 networks at this on office. With one copier so I'm not sure
How to setup a copier to scan to two seperate networks that's why we setup the scan to email. We are also using webmail server for the scan to email outgoing server. Don't know if that's the issue also.

BTW if both networks can print to the copier then they should be able to use box operator to see the copier as there must be some routing happening (don't quote me on that one though)

Well hopefully the binary thing works on Monday. So I can put this all to rest. I just have a feeling it's set too off. The hdd should be on.
