Minolta EP 4000 CSPro Display problem

It seems the display is dark and contrast adjust from dark to off. Do I need a new display or is there another board causing this. I would appriciate any help with this. Thanks in advance.

Display is dark

The lamp in the display is burn out. You can change the lamp.

certainly display lamp,i just changed one today,on ep 4000 ,mine display was all red,without contrast setting either,little bit tricky,but not too difficulty,you need new lamp and 20 to 30 min. of your time.

i will send you part number for about 10-12 hours,when i go to work,i hope that you can wait for that period of time,because there i left package with part number on it,and i saw your post when i back home,it is katun brand,spare part,last time i checked KM only have whole control panel like spare part,which is is too much expensive for solving this problem,i was using katun lamps for few times before on ep4000,for display,and it work ok,only the power cable is little shorter but that is not problem,to install the new lamp.sorry for waiting.

If you have an old 2080 or 5000 sitting around just swap the display assembly.

Joe,part number,katun brand,is 023487,but when you change lamp,take care,display and lamp,together is in betveen uperr control panel and inside plastic shell,you must unscrew 2 screws and many plastic harnesses,when you take out display,the lamp is behinde very crispy and breakable white plastic foil,and when you start to put new lamp,do not put her cable in harness with screw,becouse her cable is litlle shorter,but that is not a big deal.i hope that i help you with your problem.

Be careful when you change LED lamp inside control panel because LED lamp is so thin

Lamp weak

I believe that machine has a small flourescent tube for backlighting the display. Katun use to have the lamp available as a replacement part, you may want to check with them.
