Good morning:
We picked up a Bizhub C250 that had the fax feature not working (would not send or receive / transmissions would stay in memory), so we went to the HD & found it showing "not installed" even though it has one, so then selected "install" & then reformatted the hard drive and since yesterday it has given 4 errors "Cd010". It will work maybe 2 or 3 hours & the same error "Cd010" returns.
Does anybody know what we need to do to get this problem resolve?
Any suggestions appreciated & thanks for any help in advance.

When you say you formated the HDD, do you mean only a logical format or you did both physical and logical formats?

I'd try first to do a physical format, followed by a logical format - if you didn't do it already.

If not, you might have a bad HDD - try to put a new one in (a standard off-the-shelf 2.5 laptop HDD will do, if I remember correctly). Don't forget to format it physical and logically.

Mrwho: We did both (but not preveous to this morning). We have done both, one was quick, the other took around 25 minutes but it did complete. Since this morning we have not had the error return so far but we are still testing it to see if it does.
Thank you for your input. If it does return we will try a new hard drive.
Have a great afternoon.

Don't forget that you must ALWAYS do the physical format (the long one) first and the logical format (the short one) last.

Mrwho:
I verified that it has been done in that sequence & since yesterday, the error has not yet come back. That may have been it.
Thanks again & have a great day : )

Glad it was that simple. Let's hope the machine stays that way. :)
