I've seen in several of these machines that the color registration moves a little bit in long papers (A3, 12x18, etc) specially in the middle. After doing the adjustment several times we've tried changing IU's, transfer belts, and cleaning both IDC sensors. All values in state confirmation seem to be ok. Is there something wrong with these machines (they're all above 300k) or is it normal that you can't get it right.
Thanks a lot

had a C350 with a similar problem, you can try lowering the fuser speed for the type of paper. The final cure for the one we had was to swap the ITB drive motor with the fuser drive motor( seems like the speed on the itb motor was changing and the fuser was not as critical). The motors are the same.

mostly heavy papers, 180-250 grs.

The problem is the stiff board is travelling at faster/slower speed as the image is being transferd. This is most noticable about halfway down the page particualry in magenta as the speed difference effects the transfer belt speed as magenta is being developed.

So the belt is travelling at a different speed to what the drum is so your only option is to try and get the speed of the sheet to match that of the drum. The fuser is pulling the sheet thru so possibly speed up or slow down the fuser speed. Or try and get some more fuser loop in so the speed is not governed so much by the fuser.

Unfortuantly I have little succses trying to resolve this problem as after all this is an office machine designed for office paper. The ultimate solution is not to run such large sheets.

Hope this helps.

There is special firmware for these machine for color shift correction with thick paper.....

Also note that in extreme cases of poor colour registration on the trailing edge side of long papers in these machines can be caused by a sticking fusing loop sensor. It causes no other fault and isnt an issue on A4. It will be extreme, i mean 10mm out overall  C350, C351 & C450 all suffer from this.

The latest version for C500 is v10 but I'm not sure this will solve your problem. I am pretty sure it is more a hardware related problem and not a firmware issue.
