Konical Minolta to Olivetti Imaging Units

Will Konica Minolta Imaging units say for a 550 fit into the olivetti or Develop equivalent machine by just replacing the Chips

I was wondering weather its just the chips that are programmed different or there are actual changes to the casing on the imaging unit's :confused:

The end caps are keyed differently in most cases. You can change the end caps easily enough if you have the OEM unit.

in my experience only olivetti will fit olivetti and develop fit develop etc. the chips are manufacturer sensitive. i have by accident taken the correct iu but wrong manufacturer and installed it only for the mfp to say that "the wrong iu is installed please replace". the only way round it is to replace the chip (approx £25) hope this helps
