Hello all,
I have a konica 7040 that is presenting error F-36-2, i belive it has to do with Fusing Unit temperature Sensor, can anyone please confirm this?
And is it necessary to do any kind of reset at this error code? If so, how can i do it?

Thanks for any help in advance.

I am not familiar with Konicas so could you please explain a bit more how to operate the keyboard to enter service mode and enter those values?

Thanks in advance.

Here's the details...

With the power off, hold the 2 and 5 button on the panel and turn the power on. In the display you will see, there are 1-12 choices, choose 1, Software SW. You will see a display of numbers (01-0:1 03).
Change the first number to 03, change the second number to 01, change the third number to 00. Press RETURN on the display. Power the unit off, then on. Codes should be reset.

There are three power-on service modes such as this, they are:
4+7, 2+5, 3+6.

We call them 47 mode, 25 mode, and 36 mode.
Cheers.

you may want to check that fuser out real good before you reset any codes. it may be a fire hazard. that code came up for a reason.

Probably a thermistor problem, dirty or out of position or failed. Could be thermostat too. I did it by taking out the fuser ass'y without powering off the machine - doh ! Busy, busy, haste makes waste.

Does this work as well with the Konica 7033 error code f-36-2?

Those two machines are basically the same, only with different speeds, so yes.
