7255 with IP511a printing problem

Was trying to help out a customer today with one of these.

prints fine from 8.5x11 trays.

if you print from PC and ask for 11x17 in driver, with auto tray select, at the copier the job will hang saying requested paper is availalbe to cancel or choose new tray, if you select the 11x17 tray, tray 4 and press start it'll come out. Why is it hanging when the paper tray says 11x17 and the driver shows auto paper select???

any help would be great.

Is the document actually 11X17 or is it some size you are trying to enlarge to 11X17 if so you must specify the tray containing 11X17. All check page setup in application you are printing from and make sure it doesn't specify a tray.
