    bh250/350

we are an nec dealer. just picked up a bh250 and 350 from a leasing co. we know these are basically the same as the it2530/3530. we were curious about the availability, reliability, and ease of set up and installation of the fax option on these boxes. also we were curious about what option and what features were involved for the extra scan. any information will be appreciated. thanks in advance

The Bizhub 200/250/350 are very reliable machines, programming of scan/fax addresses has to be done via webpage. Fax option is very easy to install. Not crazy about the finisher FS508, but it's their only finisher for the 350. The extra scan function requires a Scanner board, SU501. It's only purpose is to give advanced scan functions. Pretty redundant since it's scan/print ready out of the box.

      These are a great machine.

As 8050 mentioned, the fax is easy to setup and the extra scan feature is almost pointless.

It's quite funny that you are an NEC dealer as the Bizhub 250/350's are NEC engines.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Not crazy about the finisher FS508,
        Why? if I may ask.
