    KM F650+ or Panasonic UF790

    Hello all...Does anyone know how to turn off the G3 mode on these.
    I have a customer that needs it tuned off to be able to capture the sent page number for billing software. The software they use is Argos by Sepialine.If your curious about the software Sepialine - Print Tracking, Copy + Fax Tracking and more for service professionals and providers

    TIA

    When you say turn off, are you wanting to change the tx or rx speed, db level or V34 modem start speed?

    Send me a PM I'll e-mail manual.

      The way I understand it is that I need to turn off the G3 communication mode. If it is on, the system will only be able to track the duration of the
      call, not the number of pages. I was told that if you force the machine to
      comm under 14.4 it won't use G3 but that would be very slow. Also it looks like the Super G3 will over ride this anyway if it detects another Super G3 fax. Not sure though

        14.4 is the max speed anyway. G3 is a standard for communication which that to my knowledge can not be disabled. You can only change and lock in comm speeds. Not sure what they are needing.

          I agree...all I know is what the software developer asked my customer, and I can't afford to lose them. I did call The one of the co-developers this morning and he could only tell me that so far everyone else has been able to use "keyboard VooDoo" to disable the G3.
          So if I could be 100% sure that forcing the fax to go slower to keep it from using the G3 mode that may be my only hope of keeping them.

            UF-490: In Service Mode 1 No.19 you can enable or not the ITU-T V.34.

            1 = Off
            2 = On
            3 = Select

            Selects whether the ITU-T V.34 is Off, On or Select.
            Select: Select whether the ITU-T V.34 is Off or On,
            when entering Phone Book Dialing Numbers
            or Manual Number Dialing.
            ! RTFM !
