ADD STAPLES???

I have 2 KM 4035's that intermittantly stop during jobs and say to add staples.. Opening and closing either finisher door resets the message and pushing start resumes the job. Sometimes it will finish the whole job and ask for staples at the end.. I swapped front and rear staplers and put in new cartridges and holders..Same spymptom...every 5 to 10 sets.. open and close finisher door. resets.... DF71..... Anybody seen this???

Are you using Kyocera staples or Katun? Katun staples have a tendancy to cause problems. Also how many staple cycles are on the counters. Staplers do have a life span and need to be replaced. Also there is a actuator and sensor that detect the presence of staples. It can be hangng up.
