c5500 wrong text colour

I have strange problem, when customer does a brown border around the text ,the text is printed in the same colour (text should be black) but when same job is done using a different coloured border text comes out black..

has anyone got any ideas

i have attacted jobs not sure if you will be able to see issue

Sounds like a software error/bug. Check the firmware in the machine, version 60 is the newest. Upgrades range from 30,40/41,50.

Also check the software version on the controller.


If these are okay, you could start looking into things like settings for GCR, Rich black, spot colour and so on.


On the evidence provided so far, I would put my money on software error.

It looks to me like an optical illusion.....If I zoom in on the document with the brown border the text is black! But I must admit when you see the whole page the text does look brown....
