What has Kyocera done with all the parameter settings that were available in the older printers? I can't seem to get the line spacing to change on my prints. service stat page shows the new settings, but nothing looks different. I have a customer printing from a Unix platform and the left edge, all the way down the page, is cut off. I wanted to play around with the line spacing, but the U0 and U1 parameters doesn't seem to work anymore. We just sold a ton of the new Kyoceras to a company, and now we are having to take their old Lexmark printers back because we can't get the Kyoceras to work properly. Any ideas?

Thanks

Rick

Had the exact same issue's. If it is the new copier series "Wisecore" devices, you would need to add the command line into the Unix box to change the spacing.

What model is it that you are trying to change?

Thanks for your response HPLEXKYOPT,
The model number is the new 4020DN. I was hoping that I could do something at the machine level. The customer : "Nothing wrong with my server, the old printers work fine".

I know that this is a very old post but I just want to add what actually fixed it in case someone else is having the same issue. Kyocera wound up writing some custom firmware for me to fix this problem. I just captured the print data stream of the offending print job and emailed it along with sample prints. It took them a couple of months to get back with me but they did fix the problem.

That's the bad thing about PreScribe: Kyocera doesn't make any attempt to inform us exactly which PreScribe commands remain effective, which commands are no longer effective, and which new commands appear in the newer firmware/software. Trial and error seems to be the only way to determine which commands still work and which don't. =^..^=
