my client does not have the password for this machine, any idea how to overwrite the password???

Try Fiery1 or 00000000...

If it's one of the newer L type of fierys (the box looks like an L) Then the password (if they didn't change it) is Fiery.1 (has to be a capital F) don't forget the . before the number 1.

That should do it.

if RRodgers password doesn't work, check for blank password.

failing that...you need fiery downloader

and password.ps (attached here)

Import the attached .ps file (I zipped this one) into the direct queue and password will be printed out on 8.5x11 (Example: Password = "Fiery.1", in which the password is actually Fiery.1 without the quotes).
If the printout shows: Password = " " this means there is no password set.
