I have a high volume customer with this machine and was wondering if anyone knew if this machine has a toner save mode? Machine is pretty new to me. Thanks,

J

If you go to the settings in the web interface you will find the toner save setting.

Are you sure about that model number? I have not heard of a SCX-655N. But there is a SCX-6555N.
Most users that ask for the Toner Save Mode will ask you to turn it off within a week.

How do you suppose it uses less toner? It puts less toner on the page, and the copies are light. There is no way around it, and most users won't leave it enabled. =^..^=

You are sure right Sir.. I meant 6555. I am used to Sharp machines where we can put it in toner save for our purposes because obviously we provide the toner per contract. I was going to see how the copy quality looks before I permanently left it in toner save but I just could not find it in the manual. This machine is not hooked up to a network so I wouldn't be able to ping it on the web.... Thanks

I'm not finding it. You can look at the Operators Manual here: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201006/20100607111742328/Guide_EN.pdf
I would expect to find it on pgs 80-83, but do not see it.
