I am having a problem with toner getting backed up in the belt cleaner. We have cleaned the pipes and waste toner is making it to the toner bottle but obviously not all of the waste toner is getting taken out. Have also installed a new cleaning unit for the transfer belt.

Hi ya
Check the toner type as it may be wrong some people cut off the tags to make 650 into 665

Check and make sure that the cust is not running heavy weight paper in normal mode this will cause the transfer not to transfer enough toner to the paper and cause the cleaner to back up
let us know what fixed your problem

One of two different problems here due to toner build up.

First is excessive humidity. It tends to make the toner sticky and doesn't flow properly through the spigot of the cleaner unit. If you can reduce the humidity to between 15-25%, that should be good.

The second is check your toner filter on the right side of the machine. Depending on whether you have a PF-601 or not, there will be either a plastic cover over the bottle, or a swing arm locking the unit in. Replace the filters if they are clogged.

This was an old C500 problem as well to which the solution was a new rom for the engine. Is your firmware up to date and is the machine operating in the Q-zone regarding temperature and humidity ?

the firmware for the C500 was only for the cooling fan to turn longer. The C6500 doesn;t need this it's by default the same

Take the Toner Filter that Stirton mentioned, and remove 4 of the eight filter pieces...this will give you a better air flow in the mashine and provide toner spilling around
