I cannot find a reference to that code you got. Nothing in either service manuals or even user manuals.

That said....

On the copier screen, left hand side, press job list and then press details. Your screeen should change to show you a series of tabs and under the current "Printed" tab, any jobs that had been printed under current jobs sub tab.

Select "Send" tab. Then select job history. This should show you a running list of all the jobs since the last power on of the machine. If you had just done a scan and it failed, you should see that in this list. Press it to highlight the job on the list. To the right of this list, there should be a button that becomes available when you highlight, called "Details"

When you select that, you will get a new screen showing you the specific details of that job. In the error details area, this is the error that is important.

Usually, depending on the type of scan, such as scan to email, you can have a couple different error returns. Typically server connect is the most common. This simply means that the email server which your company is using cannot be found by the machine. It might be simple as the server is currently down, or the internet connection is currently down, both assuming this worked previously. Otherwise, the email server address programmed into the machine may be at fault, which might be the IP address has been entered incorrectly, or in the case of using a named server, DNS has not been configured properly in network settings. Call in a network specialist from KM to resolve this. Otherwise, involve your IT personnel to determine if there is a network restriction.

Authentication error, when dealing with email scan, might be that the copier needs to be configured as a user on the network. This is usually when using an exchange server. Your IT needs to add a new user in the list, the copier being that new user. Then in the copier, configure the outgoing email settings to use those credentials.

Generally, these are the only two I usually see in the field.

If not, please post back what the copier indicates in the error field of that screen for further help.
